Relay Monitoring Systems Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated company dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of a wide range of electrical and protection control products for application with power utilities throughout the world.

During 2012 RMS undertook an extensive capital expansion program which involved the addition of a new building and a refurbishment and upgrade of the current manufacturing and office areas.
As part of this expansion, ITS – Security & Surveillance, was consulted for an entire overhaul of the company’s security systems.

CCTV Surveillance Cameras were firstly installed throughout the entire premises to monitor all external entry points and warehouse loading bays and despatch areas.

The existing security alarm system was removed and upgraded with a new security alarm system which involved a combination of dual technology motion detectors throughout the premises, reed switches on all of the external doors and the addition of smoke detectors and internal screamers to facilitate emergency evacuation procedures.

All external doors were fitted with electronic locks integrated into the security alarm system so that all doors are locked upon arming the security alarm system and unlocked upon disarming the security alarm system as well as automatically locking or unlocking of all the doors at any given time.
A large number of computer data points were installed throughout the existing building as well as the new building to provide network connectivity for the devices on our network.

Given the complex nature of this project, ITS – Security & Surveillance managed the phased implementation of the installation professionally and competently and worked through each challenge to deliver the outcomes required.
